Poetry for All

 I have been diagnosed with a mental problem  I don't know what to say or to do  Look into my eyes and tell me  As a friend is it true  Does this mean that l am different  Will l never be the same  Is it time l started hiding Do l need to change my name  The Dr said that this is normal  Take these tablets everyday  Then l spoke and asked the Dr  Will it heal and go away  Sadness,moods,  misunderstanding  Everybody needs to know  My illness is not on the outside  It's all inside and doesn't show. 

         The World  The World is dying  Can't you hear her crying  What is the point of the bombs  Let drop all the guns And save all the sons Stop all the blood, before it runs Daughters leave their mothers behind That always plays with my mind The rubble that falls to the ground  Leaves bodies that don't make a sound  The screams from survivors are loud  None want to leave in a shroud  The hospital's do what they can They help every woman and man  The Earth laid scarred by all the wars The soldier stands up for the cause  The boots that they wear tread the mires Whilst trees and land deal with fires We still have time to make right If we all step into the light All join hands and pray for peace Feel the calm let violence cease 

                 What l Feel Trapped in a sea of deception  Looked on by eyes from above Laughted at in crowds by the people  And never at all been in love  Your followed by cloud's full of raindrops  Whilst storms disapear in your eyes And in this mad world full of violence There's a shot and a friend of yours dies  The turmoil and pace it gets faster The World we are on  spinning round  Nobody cares for the planet  Destruction for all of us bound

                  Remember  The whistle sounded for us to go As we climbed over the hill I heard a sound of gunfire And all the world stood still I turned and saw my comrade fall Causing panic in the mud I ran towards the nearest trench And fell down with a thud Looking round at all the men Their eyes so full of fear Hands a shaking  bodies cold But none would shed a tear  Remember, one voice shouted loud  We all looked round to see One day he said this war will end  And people will be free

            My Life The videos not working The TVs on the blink I've  got a cooker with a problem  And a blockage in my sink My house is like a bombsite  The carpets need a clean I've dusted round the bedroom  But you can't see where I've been  The hoovers laid down broken  My brush has lost it's head My cupboards are all empty  And my tummies not  been  fed Everytime l look around Seeing things that cause me strife  I often wonder what went wrong I used to have a life   

               The Artist  Coloured paints and brushes Are what an artist needs Nature shows her finest  Imagination sows  it's seeds The sea, the air, the sunshine The ripples of the tide  Bring visions during painting Appearing by your side  In life you see the beauty  Then with passion and with light You start to bring together  A most amazing sight  The work you start with brush stroke line Becomes a form of your design  You've finished now it looks divine Stand back and gaze it's time to sign
